Texu Kim’s concerto
Composer Texu Kim has written an astounding concerto named ‘Ko-Oh’ that is based on a Korean folk lullaby. Yura Lee will give a world premiere of the revised work with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, as part of the Seoul Festival curated by composer Unsuk Chin. More info here.
12 BACH
To celebrate her 30 years performing worldwide, Yura Lee embarks on performing all 12 monumental pieces by Bach — Six Sonatas and Partitas for Violin BWV 1001-1006, and Six Suites for Cello BWV 1007-1012. She is the first person in the world to take on such a project. She will bring this incomparable music to audiences worldwide, and also work with presenters to bring the music to underserved communities, as it’s important to her that everyone has equal access to life-changing music.
